Some of you know me, Pik Chu Wong, as a Program Manager from High-Tech, a Yoga teacher or a mom.  I see myself forever as a student, constantly learning from my family, friends and most of all, my students.

There wouldn’t be The Yoga Studio without the help of our friends and family. I dedicate this page to all who helped us get here.

Trained as an Electrical Engineer and working in the high-tech industry for 20 years, I had very practical reasons for seeking yoga, but what I found in yoga was something so profound that it changed the course of my life. As a teenager, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), a chronic disorder that results in bone erosion and joint deformity. Due to the severity of my condition and the chemotherapy drugs I was given to suppress my immune system, I was informed by my doctors that I would require a wheelchair by age 30 and I would never have children of my own. Now, a few decades later not only am I walking, I have been teaching yoga for over 10 years! I have been completely medication free for 7 years and gave birth to a beautiful healthy daughter in 2005. Yoga has been an essential part of my journey to finding a natural way to combat RA in providing me the necessary physical, emotional and spiritual support. Without yoga, the doctors may have been right.

The Yoga Studio is my way of giving back the gift that was given to me, living life beautifully. I hope you will come visit us and experience Transformation Through Practice.

“Something as common as Love is uncommonly so

Hold on to Love if you can, give it if you can’t

For us love came … not first, not second, but eventually so

So much so that my feet left the mat, off the hammock, and landed deep into my soul

No surprise to all, the noise roared above Om as we made a family of our own

With now three babies, a girl, a dog and a Yoga studio the love just grows and grows

Come and let the Love Bug bite and receive our Om as your own”
